Go to the shopBorn in Raleigh, North Carolina, into a Persian/American family that loved music, art, motivational stories and was passionate about business, Jiaani was destined to create a life rich with culture, travel, music, health, wealth, family and purpose! At the tender age of 2, his parents would separate leaving Jiaani and his brother living back and forth between his mother and father. He would witness his mother being abused by her boyfriends, until his father took custody of the children. Learned early on the importance of hardwork and dedication by seeing his father work twelve hour days to provide for a household of six. Through spending time with his grandmother and aunt he understood the strength and value of a woman. Growing up in a Persian household he quickly learned the ways of the Persian culture and how empathy, understanding, hard work & consistency would be the pillar of any success. One day in the mid-summer of 1995 Jiaani turned on the television - the family had just gotten cable, and discovered MTV.
Hip-Hop caught his eye because it exposed him to an art form that was based on the experiences of people living through struggle, pain, love, unity, overcoming, as well as showing off the fruits of their labor. Jiaani was immediately hypnotized, and was thrusted into the beginning of writing music and poetry of his own. As Jiaani grew into his teenage years problems would arise with the clash of his fathers old teachings and Jiaani’s way of thinking; this caused turmoil which in part caused his father to send him back to live with his mother that he never spent much time with. The downward spiral began - he found himself homeless at 15, and later placed in a group home by his mother. Jiaani would soon feel a sense of loss, abandonment, hurt, anger & confusion. He ran away from the group home at 17 where he got back into the streets; this time he began hustling. Feeling to find a sense of worth, he moved to Durham North Carolina to gather as much money as he could to pursue a rap career. Spending his youth in the streets he would soon go to jail for possession of a firearm and for shooting in a city limit. Sitting inside his jail cell he felt it was all over with. Many nights he would write raps in his cell with a motivational undertone to each one of them. The other inmates would champion Jiaani to keep going with this talent. Months passed and Jiaani was finally free; after fighting his case he was given a second chance at life. With this renewed chance at success, he enrolled in barber school where he would soon tap into his inner hustler again, yet this time from a legit standpoint. The owner of the barber school was a woman who took a liking to Jiaani like a son. She spent many hours talking with him, teaching him business and she would soon transition him to cutting in the busiest barbershop in the city which she also owned! In this shop Jiaani would meet new people everyday as well as learn from the barbers he worked with about business, respect, love and growth, and the obvious barbershop talk...music! The barbershop helped him save enough money to begin investing into himself musically. Old ways would soon catch up as Jiaani was caught by the allure of the streets yet again. This time he played big and began his rise as one of the top guys in his area. He felt like he had made it as a rapper because he achieved the material success obtained by most rappers.
However, soon it would all come tumbling down as the Federal Government came in and arrested multiple friends he had at the time. This would be the final wake up call Jiaani needed to go all in with himself and his future. He began reading everyday for years at a time, and finding God through meditation. Working out became a base model outlet in which growth could happen for him. One day he stumbled upon a book that his grandmother left to him before she passed away “How To Be A Success” by Paramhansa Yogananda. He opened the book and was instantly mesmerized by the words, quotes, as well as the feeling it stirred inside him. He felt like he found his purpose! All the ups and downs changed his life around and put him on the path to meet his beautiful wife Wendy, who like Jiaani had two kids of her own. They formed a union of marriage and birthed another child together that would be the beginning of the transition of HIS PURPOSE! He now owns his own sneaker & vintage t-shirt boutique in downtown Apex North Carolina. He began the “Elevated Mindset Club” mentorship program, a community and plan designed to mentor others to become the higher versions of themself, give them the tools to find their purpose. He’s also created an online store for his music where his fans can come directly to him! “My journey through life has been a rocky one. I feel the best when I am at service for others, I feel helping someone else that went through the same things I did is the best thing I can do. Growing up all I wanted was for someone to understand me as well as push me. I have decided to become that person for other people. Everyday I strive to become better, not only for myself, but my family, for god, and you as well! BECOME THE PERSON YOU WOULD LOOK UP TO. I look forward to working with you all.”
